Yws Gwynedd began as the singer's solo project, but suddenly developed into a beast that was never anticipated.

Having originally recorded a session for BBC Radio Cymru, he went on to record an entire album - Codi/\Cysgu - and then formed a band to tour it live. During this time Yws Gwynedd became more of a band than a solo project and the members came together in the summer of 2015 to write a second album - Anrheoli.

The album was released in 2016 and the band went on to play at many of Wales' biggest festivals including Tafwyl, Sesiwn Fawr, an unforgettable evening with the Welsh Pops orchestra at the Anglesey Eisteddfod 2017 as well as a breaking the record the following Saturday for the largest audience to ever attend Maes B.
