WIGWAM

Wigwam are an indie band from Cardiff, formed in 2017. Combining an eclectic musical palette with strong melodies and lyrics inflected with South Walian twang, the band have forged a reputation as a raucous live act, recently supporting rising stars like Personal Trainer and Half Happy at the iconic Clwb Ifor Bach.
Clash Magazine described their latest EP, ‘Paid â Gosod Larwm’ (‘Don’t Set An Alarm’) as a “quietly ambitious effort, featuring five great tracks… [and] a lush alt-country vibe” which marks a “warm, welcome hug of a return” for the band. The collection sees the band at their most playful and melodically imaginative, constantly flitting between slacker, countrygaze and power-pop. This results in a sound that casts the band as the Welsh-speaking cousins of acts like Wednesday, The Beths and Soccer Mommy, whilst still embedded in their roots in Cardiff's indie scene.
