MYNADD

Mynadd are a band from the Bala area that have been writing songs and performing since the end of 2022. Their debut album, “Dio Mor Hawdd â Hynny?”, was released on the I KA CHING label in June 2025. The album received praise in the press, including a positive review in Nation.Cymru, where it was described as “outstanding.”

They are now seasoned performers on the Welsh gigging scene, having played on the main stages of the National Eisteddfod, Tafwyl, Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau, and many more.

Mynadd were one of the 5 artists to watch in 2024 according to music reviewer Tegwen Bruce-Deans on the BBC Cymru Fyw website. She said:
“It’s obvious the band have been working on their sound by experimenting with live performance, because their first single,Llwybrau, carries the mark of confident and careful craftsmanship. The jazz-style keyboards take what could be a very conventional band sound to the next level, while still perfectly capturing the bold identity and lovely innocence of the young people behind the music.”

They take pride in the rich musical heritage of their area, bringing together a variety of elements and influences to carve out their own path.
