Cordia was formed in 2015 by three young girls from Anglesey to compete in the Eisteddfod’s Brwydr y Bandiau (Battle of the Bands) competition, reaching the final round at the Montgomeryshire Eisteddfod. The following year, the group rose to national prominence by winning Cân i Gymru and the Pan Celtic Festival with their original song Dim Ond Un. Following that success, they released their first EP Tu Ôl i’r Llun, cementing their place as one of the most exciting young bands in Wales at the time.

Following this, the group members went on to study at different universities, and therefore took a break from performing. However, in 2024 Cordia re-formed with a clear intention to create and release new music. Their debut album, ADFYW, was released in May 2025 and received a warm welcome from both the music scene and the media here in Wales.

Cordia has had a busy summer in 2025, with energetic performances at festivals and major events including Tregaroc, Gŵyl Cefni, the Royal Welsh Show, the National Eisteddfod of Wales, and the Anglesey Show. In addition to live performances, Cordia has also appeared on several television and radio programmes, such as Noson Lawen, Heno, Prynhawn Da, and BBC Radio Cymru.

With their unique blend of contemporary pop and Welsh influences, Cordia are now ready to take their place on stages across Wales and beyond.
